Bay-headed tanager

Perched on its wooden stand, this rufous-crested tanager displays discreet yet neat plumage: the brown back, dark wings, and orange-tinted throat add a touch of color to this ensemble of earthy nuances. Its name comes from a small tuft of russet feathers on the top of its head.
