The dark base highlights the texture of the wing velvet, the slightly wavy cream border, and the density of the thorax, whose dense hairs are typical of Saturniidae moths.
It is sold with its airtight glass-fronted display case, black frame on a black background. Each specimen is identified (Latin name and origin) on a calligraphed label.
