The demineralized water used to fill the cylinder places the role of light and transparency at the heart of the artist's work while enhancing the delicacy of the shapes and colors of the glass worked at high temperature to give substance to the specimen present.

Following in the lineage of glass artist-scientists initiated by the Blaschka brothers in Germany in the 19th century, William Geffroy combines the codes of museum and scientific collecting with those of the decorative arts.
