Polyura cognatus
Polyura cognatus
Originating from Indonesia, Polyura cognatus is distinguished by its elegantly cut wings and two characteristic long tails. Its brown upperparts, punctuated with white and bluish touches, contrast with a lighter and highly contrasting underside, offering two complementary faces of great graphic finesse.
Presented in a hermetically sealed glass-fronted box, it is enhanced by a black frame on a white background. Each specimen is carefully identified by a calligraphed label, indicating its Latin name and origin. A brass plaque engraved with the name Deyrolle certifies the authenticity of this unique piece, from our collections.
