For nearly 200 years, Maison Deyrolle has provided a gateway to beauty and knowledge through its demanding natural science collections. Photography was a key element in preserving the memory of these collections, and with it, a collaboration with photographer Thomas Block.

Through a selection of images organized into three series—"Cabinet of Curiosities," "Taxidermy Portraits," and "Entomological Collections"—the artist paints a portrait of the specimens that have made up the remarkable history of Maison Deyrolle over the past decade.
