Phoebis argante and Phoebis philea

These two flamboyant butterflies, *Phoebis argante* and *Phoebis philea*, belong to the Pieridae family. Their yellow wings are reminiscent of the sun's rays, to the point that some cultures associate them with vitality and joie de vivre. In these species, the bright color plays a dual role: attracting partners and confusing predators. Tireless migrants, they can travel long distances, their swift flights punctuating the landscape with golden flashes.

Presented in a hermetically sealed, glass-fronted box for hanging, it is enhanced by a black frame on a white background. Each specimen is carefully identified by a calligraphic label, mentioning its Latin name and origin. A brass plaque engraved with the Deyrolle name certifies the authenticity of this unique piece, from our collections.
