Deep-sea sea urchin
Deep-sea sea urchin
Their vibrant colors give the illusion of a delicately hand-decorated object... and yet, in Indonesian waters, this sea urchin remains virtually inaccessible to humans! It lives at impressive depths, between 100 and 500 meters below the surface, and protects itself with long spines (the radioles) with red and white rings, echoing the patterns on its skeleton. This contrast is all the more fascinating because it inhabits the darkness of the deep sea, where light never penetrates. A colorful adornment, visible only to it, like a secret luxury of the abyss.
The shells are sold individually: each piece is unique and, due to natural variations in shape, color and pattern, the model shipped will be chosen randomly from the available specimens.
