Orthoceras fossil

It looks like a contemporary sculpture, but it is actually a fossil that is 470 million years old and whose species disappeared 270 million years ago. Some people attribute it to the virtues of a protective stone.

We find it perfect as a piece for a cabinet of curiosities.
