SEEDS
SEEDS
Paul Starosta, a French nature photographer, is renowned for his ability to reveal the artistic dimension of nature. In this reissued work, he presents 200 striking photographs of seeds, taken from the collections of Jean Laty and the association La Voie des fleurs. These images unveil an incredible diversity of shapes, textures, and colors: some seeds evoke flowers, stones, sculptures, or even jewelry crafted by an imaginary artisan.
Thanks to the interplay of light and shadow, the almost magical beauty of these forms, bearers of the mystery of life, is magnified. These natural wonders remind us how human art draws its inspiration from nature.
At the end of the book, photographic miniatures are accompanied by scientific information about seeds, their life cycle, their characteristics, and their different families.
