Cute female flycatcher

More discreet than her mate but just as remarkable, this female kingfisher sports a finely striped plumage of black and orange. Her bright eyes and scarlet beak give her an alert appearance, as if frozen in the act of observing a tropical clearing.

Its elegant silhouette and warm hues make it a piece full of character, which goes wonderfully with the male also presented on Deyrolle.com (see third photo).
