These particularly fragile parts are only available on this site as store pick-ups. If you would like delivery, please contact us for a quotation:
A living symbol of the landscapes of Australia and southern New Guinea, the blue-winged kingfisher impresses both with the richness of its color palette and with its behavior as an agile and intelligent hunter.
Despite belonging to the kingfisher family, it is an opportunistic predator that hunts on the ground or from a perch, feeding on large insects, small reptiles, amphibians, and even small mammals. Its powerful, slightly flattened beak allows it to grasp and stun its prey. Recognizable by its raucous and chattering vocalizations, close to a burst of laughter, it plays an important role in the local ecosystem by regulating populations of small species.
It is distinguished by the bright blue of its wings and tail, contrasting with brown and cream plumage on the head and body.

Maintenance advice
The parts that leave our workshops are treated internally and externally against parasites, but this last treatment can fade over time.
Here are some maintenance tips: For feathered animals: Every six months, lightly wipe a cloth impregnated with essence C (organic solvent) using
protecting the skin with gloves.
For furry animals: Every six months, remove the dust with a hair dryer at low intensity and in the cold setting, and pass over the hair a cloth impregnated with essence C (organic solvent), protecting the skin with gloves.
