Lambis scorpius
Lambis scorpius
This Lambis scorpius, a marine gastropod, has an elongated shape, with distinctive extensions reminiscent of "spikes" or "arms" emerging from the edges of the opening. These extensions, characteristic of the species, reinforce the spidery or scorpion-like appearance. The shell has a combination of warm tones: shades of brown, orange and beige. The interior of the opening is particularly vivid, with contrasting black and white stripes. The visible striations on the external surface add a subtle texture. The spikes, although delicate, are robust and contribute to protection and camouflage on the seabed.
