This Blue-tailed Bee-eater (Merops philippinus), a bird native to Asia, is presented here with great elegance, ideal for a cabinet of curiosities. Thanks to very careful taxidermy, this specimen perfectly showcases the magnificent colours of its plumage: a gradient of intense greens, a vibrant rufous throat, a black eye-stripe, and characteristic long blue tail feathers.
The bird is naturally mounted on a slender turned black wooden perch. This presentation highlights its fine and slender silhouette, as if it were simply perched on a branch, making this specimen a true collector's item.
