The Inuit believed that labradorites were fragments of the Northern Lights frozen in ice. Caused by micro-inclusions and internal lamellae that reflect light, these reflections are so unique that they have their own name: labradorescence.

Labradorite belongs to the feldspar family, a group of minerals that crystallize, in particular, from lava. This large block of labradorite displays vibrant azure reflections that change depending on the light and the observer's viewpoint. Polished on one side, its back is no less spectacular: the reflections seem frozen in the raw stone.

An exceptional piece, both for its size and the intensity of its colors.
