Creation by the glass artist William Geffroy of a cabinet of curiosities housing several specimens of cephalopods in glass.
His use of mass-tinted glass cylinders then heated to high temperatures allows him to work this fragile and delicate material with the greatest freedom. Following in the lineage of glass artist-scientists initiated by the Blaschka brothers in Germany in the 19th century, William Geffroy combines the codes of museum and scientific collecting with those of the decorative arts.
