Ce Araçari de Beauharnais exotique se distingue par sa crête frisottée unique et son bec imposant. Son plumage presque hypnotique, de par ses motifs, et sa longue queue en font une véritable merveille visuelle. Originaire du sud-ouest du bassin amazonien, il évolue dans les forêts tropicales humides de plaine. Mâle et femelle étant presque identiques, il est difficile de les différencier.
Ce spécimen est présenté sur un socle doré à l’ornementation classique. Finement sculpté, il met en valeur la posture majestueuse de l’oiseau.
