Recognizable by its imposing silhouette and trident-shaped horn, *Allomyrina dichotoma* is one of the most famous beetles in Asia. This impressive beetle, also called "kabutomushi" in Japan, can lift up to 850 times its own weight, making it one of the strongest insects in the animal kingdom. Males use their horns in fights to win a mate. Its shiny brown elytra and translucent wings, here spread out, reveal both the power and grace of this miniature titan.

Presented in a hermetically sealed, glass-fronted box for hanging, it is enhanced by a black frame on a white background. Each specimen is carefully identified by a calligraphic label, mentioning its Latin name and origin. A brass plate engraved with the Deyrolle name certifies the authenticity of this unique piece, from our collections.
