The Citadel of Besançon is pleased to present the exhibition Dessine-Moi Ta Planète , supported by two institutions of our national heritage: The Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Foundation and the Deyrolle house – a scientific and educational institution for almost two centuries.
Imagined by Deyrolle and produced with the Citadel of Besançon, this exhibition tour is an initiatory journey through the unique place of the Citadel, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. It is inspired as much by Saint-Exupéry's work The Little Prince as by the language and commitments of Deyrolle.
Its atypical Museum committed to the preservation of biodiversity, its prestigious ramparts – Vauban's masterpiece –, its striking views, its scientific collections and its exceptional natural environment will be rediscovered through the 10 experiential stages of the course.
Each step constitutes a wonder resonant with today's environmental values and the territory of the Citadel. Between monumental works placed in Nature, boards crossing the iconography of Deyrolle and the Little Prince as original artistic creations, the visitor-actor is confronted with astonishing, sensory immersive installations, made in particular by local artists and craftsmen to arouse 'emotion.
This exhibition is aimed as much at families, at schools, as at all those who, sensitive to Beauty, wish to re-enchant the world, to find exciting, soothing, structuring, altruistic and innovative solutions, by responding to this double idea to take care of beings and take care of the Earth. It’s an adventure that we go through with our curiosity… our child’s soul.
